Online store with cash on delivery: live demo

Toot is a small shop in Gemmayzeh selling ceramics, glass, linen and olive wood, and delivering across Lebanon. This demo is its whole website, built from the code a buyer receives: the collection by kind, a page for every product with its colours and sizes, a cart, and a checkout with delivery areas and cash on delivery, the way most people here still prefer to pay.

Toot is invented: a shop made up to show the template. Its products, prices, stock and photographs are samples, and no order you write is sent anywhere. What you put in the cart is gone when you reload the page.

Things to try

The Online store on a desktop screen, in light mode
  • Open the speckled mug and switch colours: the photograph changes with them, and the sand one has only two left.
  • Try to add more than the shop holds: the quantity stops at what is in stock, and a sold-out colour can’t be chosen.
  • Check out to Tripoli, then to Beirut: the fee and the days it takes change with the area, and above a set amount delivery is free.
  • Place the order and read the message it becomes, with its reference and its total. Then switch to Arabic: the whole shop turns right to left.

When it is yours

In your copy the shop is a few plain files: its products, prices, stock, hours and delivery areas, and every word on the site. Each order reaches you by WhatsApp or by email, written out. Customers need no account and no card: they pay the driver.
